As a host, you not only have the power to vet guests, but also to limit the length of their stay. There are many travelers who want to spend a week or two in a beautiful place and would prefer not to hop from one accommodation to another…why not encourage them to stay with you? For this, you should learn how to set up minimum/maximum stay rules using the Hotel booking plugin.
The minimum stay period is a restriction that dictates the minimum number of nights the person must stay in order to book.
First of all, make sure that all your seasons (Accommodation > Seasons) have a start and end date (it is only possible to set booking rules for seasons, not for rates). Then check whether the seasons used in the rules are also used in the rate(s) of your accommodation type(s).
You can add the Minimum Stay rule under your dashboard > Bookings > Booking Rules > Minimum stay > Add rule. While creating the booking rule, tick the seasons that a min stay rule is going to be applied to.
If you want to open your accommodation up for long term bookings, head to Bookings > Booking Rules > Maximum stay > Add rule. Set the maximum number of nights you want to allow a guest to stay in your accommodation.
Don't forget to click the Done button and save the changes.
This is how it looks on the check-out page.
