How to charge a deposit instead of the full price?

With the Hotel Booking plugin, it is possible to charge the Full amount or Deposit when a guest makes a booking. 

First of all, make sure to set the Confirmation Mode to "Confirmation upon payment" under your Dashboard > Accommodation > Settings:

You can configure what guests to pay: a deposit or full amount, under your Dashboard > Accommodation > Settings > Payment Gateways > General Settings > User Pays:

If you configure "User Pays" to "Full Amount", then a guest will have to pay the full amount in order to reserve an accommodation.

In case you select the guest to pay "Deposit", you can specify the deposit type for your guests to pay: fixed or percent. After selecting the deposit type, specify the deposit amount

Do not forget to save changes after configuring.

Note: for now, it is possible to charge a Deposit or Full Payment, but not both at once. We have a request to “activate both deposit and full amount at one time” on our feature requests list. Feel free to leave your upvotes for this feature here and we will notify you as soon as this gets implemented.

After the deposit payment is done, the guest may pay the rest on arrival or by other means without using the Hotel Booking plugin.

On the other hand, you can use the Payment Request add-on to send the notification with the payment link to guests to pay the balance due amount before arrival.
